Description

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Light about 12 coals in the firestarter and then cut the beef steaks into 2 cm pieces. Meanwhile, finely chop the garlic, red pepper, and onion and place them in a mortar and pestle and grind to a smooth paste.

Now place the hot coals on the coal burner, place the Dutch oven on top, and heat the olive oil in the Dutch oven. Once it's hot, you can start cooking the beef until it browns nicely.

Now add the paste from the mortar. You can then fry the galangal, turmeric, coriander, and cumin for extra flavor. Then add the bay leaf, ginger, and lemongrass stalk.

Add 400ml of coconut milk to the Dutch oven and simmer for 2.5 hours over low heat. You can control the temperature by adjusting the number of coals. We had good experience with cooking on 12 coals. If it's cooking too quickly, you should remove some coals. If the coals lose their heat, you can add a few more.

Stir regularly, and after 2.5 hours, the rendang will be ready. Remove the bay leaf, ginger, and lemongrass. Serve the beef with some rice.

Bon appetit![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row type="full_width_content" full_screen_row_position="middle" column_margin="default" column_direction="default" column_direction_tablet="default" column_direction_phone="default" scene_position="center" bottom_padding="7%" text_color="dark" text_align="left" row_border_radius="none" row_border_radius_applies="bg" overflow="visible" overlay_strength="0.3" gradient_direction="left_to_right" shape_divider_position="bottom" bg_image_animation="none"][vc_column column_padding="no-extra-padding" column_padding_tablet="inherit" column_padding_phone="inherit" column_padding_position="all" column_element_direction_desktop="default" column_element_spacing="default" desktop_text_alignment="default" tablet_text_alignment="default" phone_text_alignment="default" background_color_opacity="1" background_hover_color_opacity="1" column_backdrop_filter="none" column_shadow="none" column_border_radius="none" column_link_target="_self" column_position="default" gradient_direction="left_to_right" overlay_strength="0.3" width="1/1" tablet_width_inherit="default" animation_type="default" bg_image_animation="none" border_type="simple" column_border_width="none" column_border_style="solid"][vc_gallery type="flickity_static_height_style" images="10881,10883" flickity_spacing="default" flickity_controls="material_pagination" flickity_overflow="hidden" flickity_wrap_around="wrap" flickity_autoplay="true" flickity_box_shadow="none" image_loading="default" onclick="link_no" img_size="full" flickity_autoplay_dur="5000"][/vc_column][/vc_row]
